The other day, I posted a link to Google Trends where Google has harnessed massive amounts of their search data to determine likely flu outbreaks. So, I was thinking what other trends might be interesting and decided to search on three topics common to schools: algebra, geometry and statistics. Below are the three sets of graphs that were generated. Click on them to see larger versions:
It would be interesting to hear what information might be extracted from these graphs. What patterns do you see across years and what characteristics do you see within a single year? I would also be interested to learn what other trend searches on Google Trends provoke interesting conversation in your circle of colleagues and friends.
